"What do I look like, a FLIPpin' idiot?" Yes Flip Saunders, you do. Did anyone hear the news conference that Joe Dumars held? Not what I would call a ringing endorsement of Flip, I'll paraphrase it for you. "Well, Larry Brown screwed us like the many teams he has, so we had to look for a coach to take over a team with huge expectations, and Flip was really the ONLY coach on the market." I give it three years. You do realize anything but a ring is a failure right Flip? And Pistons, this is the guy who's gonna do it for you, the guy who only made it out of the first round once? You should have taken the Milwaukee job. You could have molded Andrew Bogut much like you did KG, and worked with Michael Redd, TJ Ford, Desond Mason, and Bobby Simmons. Plus your good friend is the GM so you could pull a Costanza and still not get fired. In the immortal words of Davey Lopes, "Bitter, no I'm not Bitter." Okay, maybe a little.
Larry Brown seems like a huge Dick, and man does his wife sound like a bitch. Jeez. Collin Cowherd summed this up perfectly, "If Larry Brown is going to leave Detroit after two finals appearances and a good team coming back, that's just who he is."
Drew Rosenhaus hatred level is now at an Amber Alert.
Javon Walker was dropped by Subway as their regonal spokesperson, do you think the holdout could have anything to do with this? No, it couldn't. (Sarcasm)
The Brewers are looking good, they open up their post All-Star game schedule with two four game sets against first place teams, and take 5 of 8. More importantly, I will be the first to admit that I owe Geoff Jenkins a HUGE appology. Sorry Geoff, I always hoped you still had it in you. Forgive me?
Joe Banner and Ted Thompson may end up taking a lot of heat if these holdout situations cause them to lose their player and games, but make no mistake about it, they're doing the right thing. If you cave in now it will just open up the floodgates for more of these. Just like Mel Gibson's character said in "Ransom" "I didn't negotiate because I was dealing with the scum of the earth, and no deal would ever be honored by them." Yeah, I think that sums it up. Okay maybe it's a little harsh.
I wish I had a wedding to go to coming up, just so I could see who, or how many people try to be "that guy" and recite lines and actions from wedding crashers. Yeah it's going to be really annoying for anyone attending weddings in the next few years.
Gaddis touched on this earlier, but Andrew Bogut has got some attitude and I like it. At least we know that he's no typical push-over big white stiff. The fact that he got tossed from a summer league game is a very encouraging sign.
It appears as though Tony Kucok will not be suiting up in Milwaukee next year. This was the worst news I've heard in the last week. I loved Kucok. He was probably my third favorite Buck of all time, and I thought he could have really helped this team. His agent said he's not shutting the door but it doesn't appear likely. I guess Bobby Simmons will take over the vaccancy in my heart now. Can I buy a Simmons jersey yet?
Bad News Bears remake comes out tonight and it's rated PG-13. PG-13? You can't do that, you either have to make this a PG movie for the kids, or just go all out and make this a rated R movie. It already looks pretty bad but I'll see it. Hey it's baseball and it just costs me $1.

Wow, I like the new angry JG. I think you hung out with me and Platta too much there in May/June, but regardless, I like it. I simply wanted to point out one glaring mistake that might have made Bucks fans everywhere cringe. You refered to Desmond "The Cowboy" Mason as Anthony Mason. That's just bad karma.
I would like to officially ask how much funds this blog and the gents at Our Turn Next can raise to formally put a price on Rosenhaus' head? I'm good for a few bucks a week.
Other than that, I wanted to chime in on your comment from yesterday in regards to not pinch hitting Jenks for Magruder (Who I officially hate and wish was hanging out in Nashville). Not only did CMags strike out horribly in that situation, but he also horribly misplayed that ball in right that allowed the Cards to push an insurance run across the plate. Jenks not only would have played that properly and most likely held Eckstein to a single but he actually may have caught it. That's all I got.
My bad Fabos, I'm not even going to correct it because doing so would only remind me of the piece of garbage. Lets not ever mention that name again as long as we both shall live. By the way I agree, I think time spent with Mr Platta and yourself has definitely taken it's toll on me.
