OC Friday Morning Hangover: The Reedpisode

Well where do I start on this one. Oh I got it. Whitesnake "here I go again on my heart" and Poison "Every rose has its thorn" were both distinctly heard on the jukebox. Granted it was a scene featuring Julie basically being overcome with feelings for her ex-flame and porn partener Lance, but still, hate Julie all you want, but don't diss her music. As my colleague Justin pointed out, if for nothing else, they played two great 80's songs in one episode, making it awesome. After rewatching the tape, I'd have to agree.

The other significant happening (or unhappening) is that Ryan and Marissa once again grazed noses, but didn't kiss. Two more weeks is how long I'm guessing it will be until they officially lock lips again and Marissa forgets what being a lesbian was all about. I say two weeks because remember how long it took for Seth and Summer to get back together? It seemed like for a month straight the previews for the next week foreshadowed those two finally getting back together, yet nothing would come to surface.

And as long as we're on my favorite couple, apparently Seth and Zach's comic book coordinator is an attractive college aged female named Reed whom both of them fancy since they didn't think girls that really like comic books existed. "Like finding a unicorn, a beautiful unicorn." Seth is hesitant to tell Reed he has a girlfriend while simultaneously trying to cock block Zach from getting with her. Needless to say, this didn't settle well with Summer who thought that Reed was a he and when she found out Reed was a she, was angry at Cohen for lying about the whole situation and ended up taking a ride home from a party at Marissa's with Zach and Reed. (Reed was Zach's date).

The whole reason there was a huge party at Marissa's was that they threw Trey a big blowout because it was his 21st birthday. Of course there was a scene in which you thought Trey was buying drugs, but was actually helping a bum and then the episode closed with a girl Trey had just gotten it on with at the party passing out from Esctasy. The cops were going to cuff Marissa and take her to the clink because it was her house, but Trey admits he gave the girl the E and he gets booked by Dan-O instead. My guess is that he said it to save Marissa who had been very nice to him to keep her from serving hard time.

Next week we will find out. And we will also find out what the hell is up with Kirsten who apparently is doing all she can to keep Carter single because I guess she likes him. I'll up and quit watching if she cheats on Sandy. There also seems to be a divorce between Julie and Caleb on the horizon, but we shall see. But know that next week The OC is all new: Bottom Line.
